Afghan Bruce Lee takes Internet by storm

Abbas Alizada is hoping to show a different side to his war-torn country after finding fame on the Internet as the Afghan Bruce Lee.

For Afghanistan, a country more likely to be in the news for all the wrong reasons, Abbas Alizada is a breath of fresh air. Known to his Internet fans as the “Afghan Bruce Lee” the 20 year old bears a striking resemblance to Bruce Lee himself.

According to Reuters Alizada’s family could not afford to send him to the Wushu academy but the instructor saw promise and trained him anyway. He currently trains twice a week in the ruins of Kabul’s Darulaman palace and hopes one day to become a Hollywood star.

Through watching Bruce Lee’s films he has managed to master many of the Little Dragon’s moves including his trademark Nunchaku skills as seen in the video above.
